The event you have been waiting for is almost here!  The 24th Annual Panther Creek Fall Art & Craft Fair will be Saturday, November 14, 2009.  The whole day will provide shoppers with the opportunity to meander through over 110 booth spaces filled with the highest quality crafts from all over Texas.  The Art & Craft Fair will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., rain or shine in the Panther Creek Shopping Center.

Shopping for the holidays or for home accessories is an absolute delight in The Heart of The Woodlands.  The crafters are the friendliest and await the arrival of this show.  They enjoy sharing their creations and newest innovations with interested shoppers.  Last year the weather was perfect, and the crafters and shoppers enjoyed the day making new and renewing old acquaintances.  Plan to come and purchase another piece from your favorite crafter/artist or find that piece that your neighbor bought last year and you couldn’t wait to get this year!  Don’t forget that you will be able to do your holiday shopping for gifts and decorations while you are here.

This year many of the crafters from past shows will return and several new crafters will show their wares.  Stacey Stastny will have her unique purses made from old cowboy boot tops, leather work journals and book covers.  Michael Gilbert will be returning with his one of kind metal sculptures and wall hangings made from old Harley Davidson tanks, old metal gas containers, and signs.  Curtis Laudermilk with have beautiful turned mesquite wood lamps, bowls, and more.  Barker Street Gourmet Dog Bakery and Boutique will also return with their hand-made gourmet dog treats. There is sure to be something for everyone!

So mark your calendars and do not miss out on the longest running show held in South Montgomery County.  Allow plenty of time to enjoy all of the booths spread throughout the entire shopping center.  The Panther Creek Merchants’ Association sponsors this event and proceeds from this event go back to the community in the form of scholarships and donations to local charities.  There is no admission price and parking is free.

WHY

Multiple sclerosis interrupts the flow of information from the brain to the body and stops people from moving.  Every hour in the United States, someone is newly diagnosed with MS, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with more than twice as many women as men being diagnosed with the disease.  MS affects more than 400,000 people in the U.S., and 2.5 million worldwide.
